With the recession kicking in this year everyone expected that the transfer window money figured would be dramatically smaller than it was for the last couple of seasons. Well it was down but not by much went down by 30 million in the end, from 450 million to 420 million.

Your question will be why did I start this banning topic with that paragraphy. Well… you see before this ban if you did something wrong you were given a fine that was to be honest a load of rubbish. It would be something like 20 quid and then you would not have to sell the player or anything. Even with the bigger fine they were still paid as they could easily afford to pay for the crime. This means that clubs will continue to do it and just pay for it because even with the recession big clubs just print there own money.

This ban though is a brilliant idea and should of been done years ago as it has been happening for a good few years. I recon that this will clamp this sort out illegal transfer right out.

Carlo Ancelotti announced yesterday that he is leaving AC Milan and Italian football after a 8 year reign.

Ancelotti would not comment on whether he would be next season but Chelsea are understood to have signed Ancelotti many months ago.

After Guss Hiddink took over at Stamford Bridge the chelsea owner Abromavich has liked the way that the team has come together. With Hiddink and Ancelotti running there team in a similar way it was immediately apparent that Ancelotti was the man for the job when Hiddink stepped down.

Reports and my money aswell say that Ancellotti will be announced as Chelsea Manager by thursday 12 noon.

I personally think that Ancelotti could be the manger that actually stays the course. Chelsea needs stability if they are ever going to threaten Manchester United dominance. United have stuck with Sir Alex Ferguson through time of highs and very few lows. Chelsea need to do the same aswell.

I predict that next season Chelsea will be a much better force and will challenge the title all the way.

When Chelsea took on Barcelona they were the better team for 90 minutes. They even had four stone-wall penalties.

I never actaully watched the game but I say all the incidents late that night.  Chelsea should of won the incidents were clear as day.

The reason why Chelsea did not go through is that the president of FIFA Joseph S. (Sepp) Blatter announced that he did not like the dominance of the English game.

I personally think that this will prevent Manchester United from winning anything tonight. I mean if the president does not want two English teams in the finals. He gets only one English team in the finals.

I would assume that if they want a English team to not win the finals they will get it.

Even though I hate Chelsea after the game I was dissappointed for them. I thought they deserved to go through but they did not.

I recon and will put money on United loosing tonight by 1-0. What the President wants the President gets.

Did anyone notice that the Wembley pitch was the worst seen in ages.

I cannot remember a national stadium ground that has been worse compaid with the amount of money that has been spent on the stadium.

When England finally announced that the stadium was ready, I remember they went on about the new pitch and how it was going to be as good as or even better than the stadium that surrounded it.

How they were wrong the pitch was nothing better than a mess from start to finish. They laid the pitch too close to the first game se it did not have chance to marry with the underlying material. It was told that the pitch was too lojng and it did not let the ball run as everyone wanted. I could go on.

Well after the two semi-finals for the FA cup, Wenger stuck his head out and blasted the pitch. You would take from this that because he had lost his semi-final he was clutching at straws and blaming anything but his team. But after the other semi-final both Moyes and Ferguson both compolained that the pitch was rubbish.

How can they get the pitch so wrong when premier league teams have brilliant lush grass that allows them to play week in week out and the pitch does not look as bad as Wembley’s did??

I am surprised that Man U gave away this game to Everton. Man U are suppose to be hungry for the Quintuple. It looked to me that the only thing that Man U were hungry for was the final whistle.

But y questions are these!!

Can Everton Pull off a surprise win and pick up a trophy that has not been in there possession for a long long time?

Will Chelsea show there class and show that they are still in witha  fighting chance of winning the league??

To be honest god only knows. Football has a habit of bitting you on the arse if you are not prepared for it.

The English side of the Quarter Final was probably the best quarter final I have seen in ages.

Liverpool were 3-1 down at home after a Chelsea team that shows there master class. the stage was set for a monumentally opportunity for a amazing second leg. Did Liverpool and Chelsea disappoint us?

Nope!!

Liverpool pushed out a quick 2 goals to make them only need one more. The game eventually ended 4-4. What quarter final. Normally Liverpool vs Chelsea is summed up by being a 2 or three goal thriller over two legs, but this installment was brilliant.

I hope this event happens every year. Liverpool have played Chelsea 24 times in the last 5 years.

I wish all games were like this!

Liverpool came of the block fighting on the first 20ish minutes. I thought liverpool had the chance to destroy chelsea and give chelsea a difficult a second leg.

Now tho chelsea coming away with three away goals they are definatly in the drive in seat.

I really cannot see liverpool pulling it off. It will be a shame tho, i think liverpool are a brilliant tournament team.

Now liverpool are struggling. will the question now be can liverpool sustain a title threat and champions league chance in the same season?

I was trying to think of a lovely article about how Anelka has forced his way into the team and how he pushed out a player who is a world beater. The only problem is that for me Anelka has struggled and I cannot understand why Drogba is not playing either as a secondary striker.

Drogba for me has a better touch, skill, power, vision, etc. I know that Anelka has scored more goals but Drogba hasnt had the chance to score this season.

I personally never liked Drogba but I have warmed to him.

My question therefore why is Scolari so scared to play him??
