The English side of the Quarter Final was probably the best quarter final I have seen in ages.

Liverpool were 3-1 down at home after a Chelsea team that shows there master class. the stage was set for a monumentally opportunity for a amazing second leg. Did Liverpool and Chelsea disappoint us?

Nope!!

Liverpool pushed out a quick 2 goals to make them only need one more. The game eventually ended 4-4. What quarter final. Normally Liverpool vs Chelsea is summed up by being a 2 or three goal thriller over two legs, but this installment was brilliant.

I hope this event happens every year. Liverpool have played Chelsea 24 times in the last 5 years.

I wish all games were like this!

Liverpool came of the block fighting on the first 20ish minutes. I thought liverpool had the chance to destroy chelsea and give chelsea a difficult a second leg.

Now tho chelsea coming away with three away goals they are definatly in the drive in seat.

I really cannot see liverpool pulling it off. It will be a shame tho, i think liverpool are a brilliant tournament team.

Now liverpool are struggling. will the question now be can liverpool sustain a title threat and champions league chance in the same season?

After Liverpool Defeat at Middlesbrough, Rafa was quoted as saying,

“Before the game, it was very difficult – after the game it is more difficult,” Benitez said of their title chances.

“It depends on United, but it will be more difficult, clearly.”

For me I believe that if Rafa had a new contract sorted, Liverpool would not be in the mess that they are in now. I always wondered if or how Liverpool would fair when 2009 started. I think they have answered that and I believe that Manchester United are unstoppable.

Therefore my question is will Liverpool be able to sort the mess out and still challenge for the title.

Liverpool are starting to crumble, there is no other way to say it. the owners are destroying the club. BBC article reads:-

Liverpool let another 2 points slip when they really needed to keep up with Manchester United blistering form of late and for me they are struggling badly.

My question is will Liverpool be able to turn it round?
